Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a place of shelter and support, where those in need will receive the compassion, guidance, information, and assistance that will allow them to fully express their highest potential.

At Seven Hills, we take individuals and families off the street and help them overcome obstacles that will set them on the road to a healthy, stable, and productive life.

Our new $2.5 million transitional supportive housing facility on Huntsville Road

Apartments for families with children; housing for homeless disabled; housing for individuals; community center

Our History

Seven Hills originated from a University of Arkansas student project that assessed the needs of individuals visiting the Salvation Army in Fayetteville within a two-year period (1998 - 2000). When the Center was founded in the winter of 2000, it set forth to fill a gap in services within the community. Seven Hills began as a day shelter providing basic services such as food, shelter, showers, laundry and telephone services. Since then, the center has created three transitional housing programs to aid individuals to achieve self-sufficiency.

In April 2001, the Center began its first men's transitional housing program within our facilities, titled "Fresh Start." In 2004, the acquisition of a second building allowed the Center to launch a transitional housing program for a veteran's recovery program and a transitional women's program.

We are opening soon a new four-building facility on Huntsville Road that will provide transitional housing for families and individuals, permanent supportive housing for disabled homeless persons, and a dormitory for homeless individuals who have jobs and are working toward independence.

Today, Seven Hills has expanded its services to lessen the number of those effected by homelessness within our community. All of this was made possible through a compassionate vision, and the generosity and support of many individuals, churches, and foundations within Northwest Arkansas.
